Ticking along nicely

Jules bookThree weeks into Q3 already. Where did Q2 go and what were the big stories?

Well I guess a new conservative government with an overall majority was the real surprise, while the Greeks getting themselves deeper into the mire and Arsenal making light work of Aston Villa in the FA Cup, played out much as expected. (Sorry, but 4-0 on May 30 was a big story for us!).

In terms of Awaken Communications, things have been ticking along nicely. We were delighted with our re-branding and re-positioning work for outdoor learning specialists, The Great Escape. More importantly the client was too. We completed a similar piece of work for Pulse, an accountancy firm serving the fast growing army of contractors, consultants, freelancers and start-ups. By the way, if anyone is looking for a great accountant, we’d can’t recommend these guys highly enough.

Back in our favourite world of outdoor leisure, we completed another website for Adventure Experience company as they opened their latest Florida style adventure golf course, Jurassic Falls, in north east London. We have also had the chance to work on projects for what can only be described as dream clients for us: The England and Wales Cricket Board and Champneys.

Delighted as we are with these achievements, they all pale into insignificance when compared to the major story of Q2. Nick’s wife Jules has her second book out. So here’s an unashamed plug for From Italy with Love’. If you enjoy romantic fiction, don’t go on holiday without it!
