Market positioningWe’re looking forward to attending the opening of the new Performance Centre at World of Golf – New Malden on Monday. This is the latest evolution at Europe’s busiest driving range, helping the centre position itself firmly at the premium end of the market. Some of the Awaken team were  privileged last week, to get a close look at what is now among the most advanced golf teaching facilities in the UK, as we shot some footage for a launch video.

It’s fascinating to think just how far the centre has come in 5 years. Initially under the guidance of Ashtour the center re-modelled itself as a destination for families with the addition of a florida style adventure golf course, Jurassic Encounter, and a Costa Coffee bar. More recently, under new ownership, the range has been further developed as a world class teaching facility, where golfers of all abilities can take their game to the next level with the very latest game-improvement technologies.

While golf as a game, with its myriad of trade associations and too many clubs who still practice silly rules, World of Golf has focused on delivering for the customer. Boy has it succeeded. It’s been a real honor for our team to have shared in this story.
